Fall Fishing

The fall fishing has just begun. After the hurricane past by the winds shifted around to the NE and pushed the mullet out on the beach. This is what we call a mullet blow and kicks off the fall fishing. The water has cleared up and the fish are starting to tear up the mullet in the surf. I watched some big bluefish blasted mullet the other day just inside the inlet. Redfish, Spanish, Kings, Trout, and Flounder are getting in on the action to! With the amount of glass minnows that I have been seeing in the water the albacore action should be awesome later this month and into October. The big bull reds have been on fire the last few weeks and will be finishing up their spawn later this month. We will be on them when they come out of the sound and start to school up on the east side of the cape. Should be some awesome sight casting to the big schools feeding up on shad. We are started what is to me the best two months of the year for fishing, so don't miss out on some great action. I dates open so give me a call.

Summer fishing report

I know that it has been a good while since the last report, but we are still here and catching fish. The flounder fishing has been picking up inshore and we have been catching some speckled trout on live shrimp. Spanish and King mackerel have shown up in good numbers around the reefs right off the beach. I am running a new 23 tournament edition Shearwater and I can tell you that these boats are awesome. The boat runs in shallow water and has a great ride in the ocean chop as well. It also has the 250 sho vmax yamaha and this is a incredible engine. I will put up pictures of the boat in the next day or so. Give me a call, I still have dates open.

Redfish Action is on Fire!

It was hard to put down the rods and take these pictures. The reds are destroying anything in their path right now. Top waters, spinner baits, jigs just get it front of them. If you wanted to experience the hottest redfishing of the year. Give me a call, this next month is going to be awesome!

Labor Day Weekend

The storm past us by without any incident. We picked back up redfishing. The bite was a little off due to the storm, but we did catch some nice upper to over slot reds over the weekend. September should be a great month, with all the bait in the water the redfish action is going to be hot. I have a few dates open between two redfish tournaments so give me a call.

8-31-10 Awesome Redfishing!

I took the day off to do some fishing with my dad before the storm. It was a beautiful day light winds, sunny skies, and hot temps. Hard to believe we may have a major storm here in a few days. We had a great day on the water. The reds where on fire today. We landed somewhere around 25 fish with most of them over 30". Top waters and jigs done it for us today. Awesome day on the water!

Summer fishing report

Well it has been hot this summer, but the fishing has been too! The top water redfish action has been great. We have been catching fish over 30'' on top dawgs. Flounder, sheep head, black drum, and speckled trout have been providing action also. The big Spanish mackerel and a few nice kings are on the reefs and around the inlets. Big bull reds have moved into the Neuse River and the Tarpon there in good numbers. So don't let the heat kept you off the water. I have dates open so give me a call and get in on some hot summer time action.
