Fall Fishing

The fall fishing has just begun. After the hurricane past by the winds shifted around to the NE and pushed the mullet out on the beach. This is what we call a mullet blow and kicks off the fall fishing. The water has cleared up and the fish are starting to tear up the mullet in the surf. I watched some big bluefish blasted mullet the other day just inside the inlet. Redfish, Spanish, Kings, Trout, and Flounder are getting in on the action to! With the amount of glass minnows that I have been seeing in the water the albacore action should be awesome later this month and into October. The big bull reds have been on fire the last few weeks and will be finishing up their spawn later this month. We will be on them when they come out of the sound and start to school up on the east side of the cape. Should be some awesome sight casting to the big schools feeding up on shad. We are started what is to me the best two months of the year for fishing, so don't miss out on some great action. I dates open so give me a call.

Summer fishing report

I know that it has been a good while since the last report, but we are still here and catching fish. The flounder fishing has been picking up inshore and we have been catching some speckled trout on live shrimp. Spanish and King mackerel have shown up in good numbers around the reefs right off the beach. I am running a new 23 tournament edition Shearwater and I can tell you that these boats are awesome. The boat runs in shallow water and has a great ride in the ocean chop as well. It also has the 250 sho vmax yamaha and this is a incredible engine. I will put up pictures of the boat in the next day or so. Give me a call, I still have dates open.
