The striper action has been insane on the Neuse River for the past several days. I fished with my friend Frank from New Bern and my dad last friday, we had an awesome day. We caught stripers all morning on top water baits. Between the three of use we put over 40 fish in the boat all on top water. The fishing was so good we went back on Sunday and the action was even better. Striper were busting on shad just about all day. We ended up with 55 stripers ranging from 2 to 5lbs all on top water with redfish and trout mixed in.
